i-Station8 - MIP108

1. My i-Station8 Concert - MIP108 is not switching ON.

Please check the AC Adaptor is connected correctly.

Please can you test the i-Station with the use of AA batteries, this will help us to identify where the fault may lie. If the problem persists, please contact us at support@logic3.com

2. NO SOUND using i-Station8 with iPod nano

Some iPod nano’s will not output any sound while docked onto an i-Station using the 30 pin dock connector - please follow the steps below to resolve this problem.

1) Remove the iPod nano from the i-Station.
2) Connect a set of headphones into the headphone socket on the iPod nano
3) Press play on the iPod nano, audio will be heard through the Earphones
4) Remove the earphones from the iPod nano
5) Dock the iPod nano onto the i-Station
6) Press play on the iPod nano - you will now hear audio through the i-Station

Updating your iPod nano using iPod updater (available from the Apple Website) will permanently fix the issue.

3. Which cradle do I use with my i-Station8?

The MIP108 i-Station8 speakers use the iPod universal dock making it compatible with any iPod supporting a 30 pin dock connector. The correct cradle to use is the cradle supplied with the iPod.

4. I cannot get my iPod classic / iPod nano 3G to work with the i-Station8 Concert .

When using the i-Station8 with the latest iPod classic or nano 3G, the i-Station8 needs to be set to standard mode, you can do this by pressing and holding down the mute button on the remote control, then using the next track button you are able to select through the options, use the volume button to select between standard & extended mode.  Unfortunately you may encounter some compatibility problems when trying to use the extended functions of the remote control and the video outputs when using the i-Station8 with the latest iPod classic or nano 3G, however please note that the i-Station8 was released quite some time before the launch of the latest iPods

We would advise that you use the latest version of the i-Station8 - Concert which has an IC making it more compatible with the latest nano 3G or iPod classic. The new IC version of the i-Station8 (i-Station8 Concert) will allow you to scroll through the iPod nano 3G or iPod classic menus, it also communicates a better connection between the iPod and i-Station and provides bass and treble adjustments via the remote control. It can also be identified by its different packaging design.
